Camp hours are 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Rancho El Camino Riding School offers week-long camps throughout the summer. These are fun-packed horsey filled days where we teach riding basics and equestrian care, enjoy games with our gentle horses and socialize while making horse themed arts and crafts.

 Typical Day:

9:00 am- Morning greeting and feeding the horses

9:15 am- Daily Vitamin (morning stretches)

9:30 am- Horses out and get ready to tack up

10:15 am - First group of riders on and have a lesson while the second group does the daily craft or horse lesson.

11:00 am- Swap groups

11:45 am- All groups care for the horses and take off tack

12:15 pm- Wash up and eat lunch, say goodbye to the horses with treats, and play games until parents arrive

Parent Information: 

• We do not offer riding helmets for campers, helmets must be purchased prior to the start of camp. (If you have any concerns about this requirement, please don't hesitate to reach out to Becky directly (858)688-0419) .Helmets must be riding helmets, no bike helmets. If this We recommend the Ovation Deluxe Schooler Riding Helmet. Can be found on Amazon (linked) or at Mary’s Tack and Feed. 
• We have found that the appropriate ages for our camp range from 5 years old to around 11 years old
• After reserving camp date, we will send out an email to collect information about our new camper along with important information on what to bring, etc.. Please expect this two weeks before the start of camp.

We are a beginners riding school and focus on the basic riding skills as well as horsemanship, however if your child is more advanced we typically break the camp up into two levels. One group may canter while the other group focuses on trotting and more fundamental skills.

Camp fees are $800.00 per week.

* There will be a $50.00 transfer fee for changing camp weeks in 2026.

* Space is limited, we cannot accommodate refunds.
