Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have ponies or horses?: Both!
Do you teach western or english lessons?: We teach english style riding. We start all kids in a western saddle and it is up to them if they would like to switch to an english saddle.
Can my child go in a group lesson to start?: No, for their safety they need to start with a private lesson. All students starting in our school are required to start in private lessons and can graduate to group lessons (see below) once the student can:

-Steer and keep the horse on the rail
-Posting at the trot
-Keep the horse trotting on their own
How old does my child need to be to start lessons?: Private lessons are available for children ages 4 and up. Pony rides are offered for younger children.
Do you offer jumping lessons?: We are proudly partnered with Flower Hill Farms located directly next-door to our school. For students looking to jump or compete, we teach the required skills and set up the transition to Flower Hill Farms. REC kids focuses on flatwork and pole-work only.
Can my child gallop their horse?: No, for the safety of our horses and your child, they will not be permitted to gallop.

I am going on a trip, can I only pay for 1/2 my normal lessons but still keep my spot?: No, in order to keep your spot monthly tuition must be paid in full. Students are eligible for one makeup per month.
